What is the schedule of Racing?

What is the schedule of other events during the regatta?
The preliminary event schedule is now available here, however to be kept up to date to changes and additions please subscribe to the event newsletter or follow us on Social Media.
Where is the Regatta Office and when is it open?
The Regatta Office will be located in the Jock Sturrock Centre on the south side of Royal Brighton Yacht Club. They will be open from 8.30am - 5pm (or 1 hour after the last race finishes for the day) from the 28th November to 3rd December.
Where is registration on the first and second day located?
On the 28th and 29th November registrations will take place in the Bayview Room upstairs at RBYC. Otherwise, all enquires and registrations shall be conducted out of the Jock Sturrock Centre.
Where is First Aid?
First aid facility will be located at the Regatta Office located at the Jock Sturrock Centre, open from 9am - 5pm (or 1 hour after the last race finishes for the day) for the duration of the event.
Where do I park my boat?
All boats will be located in the Royal Brighton Yacht Club or on the south side of the club in
designated council car park (temporary fencing will be placed in this along with overnight secure patrols). All boats are to be stored in their allocated location based on class.
Can I leave my trailer on site?
Yes, there will be limited trailer storage available during the event at the 2nd/11th Brighton Scout Hall. The scout hall is located 1.5km from the club access road to the scout hall is opposite Were St, Brighton. If you go past Green Point you have gone too far.
With limited space at the scout hall we ask competitors to assist, if you are able to take trailers back home or to your accommodation the event appreciates your assistances.
We ask that you open and close the access gate to the scout hall access lane when you are coming and leaving the scout hall. The gate will be open from 0830 hrs – 1700 hrs each day. If you require access after hours please contact the regatta office to organise access. Refer to map with the location of the trailer parking.
We ask for all competitors to assistances when leaving trailers at the scout hall that you please consider using the space wisely.
Please note the event does not take any responsibility for any trailers or equipment at the trailer or club location. Equipment is at owns risk.
Is their onsite car parking?
Yes, there is onsite paid car park available to competitors, volunteer and support personal, please note this area has a maximum time limit up to four (4) hours.
Free car parking is located on the side streets around Royal Brighton Yacht Club with without time limits.
What date can I arrive to the regatta site?
Please refer to the Preliminary Event Schedule for more information.
Can I train from the venue before the regatta?
Yes, you can train and sail out of the venue. If arriving in Melbourne to train before this date (refer to the Preliminary Event Schedule) please contact Royal Brighton Yacht Club Sailing Department – Dom Jackson on +61 3 9593 3092.
When can I remove my boat from the regatta site?

How do I get to the event by public transport?
Brighton is well serviced by all sorts of public transport including various Bus Services and the Train (Sandringham Line). For detailed timetable and schedule information, please visit www.ptv.gov.au.
Is there security at the event?
Yes, the club will be organising nightly patrols, responsibility remains with every individual to ensure that their property is safe and secure when they are not there.
Where do I leave my equipment during the event?
We encourage all participants to not leave property unsecured during the event, anything left on site will be at your own risk.

Where do I berth a coach / support boat?
There is no support boat launching facilities at the venue. The first option is 4.4km north of the venue at St Kilda Marina where there is full service marina / boating facility including public launching ramps and re-fuelling.
Option 1 - St Kilda Marina
The second option is 1.6km north of the venue. I would only recommend small to medium RIB’s at this location. All day paid trailer parking is available at this location. Refer to maps.

Where do I berth a support boat?
All support boats are critical to the safe delivery of the regatta and in the case of emergency are important parts of on-water safety. For this reason, all support boats associated with the event need to register prior to the event. This registration (including small fee) will provide you with competitor level access to the venue and berthing of your boat from Monday at Royal Brighton Marina. For any berthing / access required outside of these dates, please arrange this directly with RBYC Sailing Departtment – Tom Jenkins Marina Manager - on +61 3 9593 0392. As a spectator, how can I watch the racing?
RBYC offers spectator watching via the break water. It’s a 5 minute walk along the pier, which will take you to the break water. Alternatively, viewing is available in the club house upstairs in the member’s lounge which is open to all guests during the regatta.
